Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarskii (ハーヴェイ・ヴォロダールスキー) (Харви Моисеевич Володарский) is a fictional character in the 2007 video game No More Heroes. He is a Russian assassin and stage magician who gives shows for large audiences; his age is unknown. He is ranked fourth in the United Assassins Association. Sylvia Christel and Travis Touchdown attend one of Volodarskii's performances, where he selects Travis from the audience to assist him onstage. A brief conversation between the two reveals for the first time during the game that Travis' parents are dead. Harvey's assistants restrain a willing Travis under a large circular saw in an attempt to do Travis in before the fight even starts, but Travis manages to escape the trap. Harvey fights using magic double-sabers, as well as several of his magic tricks, but is ultimately blinded when Travis throws his beam katana across his eyes. Soon after, he is restrained by his own associates and sliced vertically in half by the same large circular saw that he tried to kill Travis with during the start of his performance. One attack that Harvey can do involves trapping you in an exploding box, then you will get either of these commands: tap A multiple times; shake the nunchuk; or shake the wii remote. If you fail to perform these commands, he will instantly kill you. If done correctly, you will escape the box.
Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarrskii is voiced by James Horan.
In the Trading Card GameEdit
- Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarrskii bears a resemblance to real-life magician Criss Angel.
- Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarrskii is the one of the few original ten ranked assassin to not use a pseudonym, the others being Travis Touchdown, Shinobu, Helter-Skelter and Holly Summers.
- The disembodied voice that announces Harvey's name seems to have difficulty pronouncing it, stumbling around "Moiseiwitsch".
- The subtitles mispell Harvey's name as "Volodarsky" in a cutscene.
