Dark Star (ダークスター) is a fictional character in the 2007 video game No More Heroes. He is an assassin who lives in a large castle hidden far away from Santa Destroy. He is ranked first in the United Assassins Association. He wields a sword-hilt like device, the Horse Saber, which can project a large, dragon-like tendril of energy, and knows much about Travis Touchdown's past, claiming to be his father. He is killed by Jeane before Travis' ranking match against him starts. Jeane claims that he is lying, and points out that Travis' biological father is dead. He is a parody of Darth Vader from the Star Wars series.

Dark Star is voiced by Steve Blum in the English version and Tesshou Genda in the Japanese version.

In the Trading Card GameEdit

There are several Dark Star trading cards in the Design Materials set. These include "Dark Star" Design, "Dark Star" Expressions and Dark Star.

  • Dark Star resembles the Darkstar Skateboard Logo.
  • He also talks and acts like Darth Vader from Star Wars, even referencing the famous "I am your father" line.
  • Dark Star's name could be based off the "Death Star" from the Star Wars series.
  • Dark Star also has several similarities to Ben 10 villain Darkstar aka Michael Morningstar.
    • Their villain/assasin names are almost exactly the same.
    • They both use energy-based attacks.
    • His outfit has both of Darkstar's main colors, gold (when at full power) and black.
    • Both have rather disturbing behaviors relating to sex (Dark Star is stated to have sexually molested Jeane, while Morningstar, in his first appearance, acts in a way akin to a serial rapist, and, afterwards, refers to secondary protagonist Gwen Tennyson as "Lovely Gwen").
    • Both are also impressive actors (Dark Star was able to fool Travis into thinking he was his father and forcing him into a flashback of his parents death, while Morningstar, in the original version, was able to fool Gwen and Ben Tennyson into thinking he was his town's local superhero and trick Charmcaster into simultaneously believing he loved her and causing her to love him, while in the reboot version, he was actually a child actor playing the main role of a Twilight parody.
